Nice things

8 February 2010

I’ve wanted to make this post for a while! It’s just a list of blogs/sites I look through from time to time. For inspiration.. or for fun.

And I want summer to come.

Hearts

1 February 2010

Making hearts out of paper-clips. They’re so cute! ♥ I just made a couple. I actually followed this video (click me!), since the picture confused me.

Down the Drain

28 January 2010

I just realized that I spent a … very, very, incredibly large amount of money on applying to colleges/universities. I suppose that’s normal, for students in their last year of high school that want to continue their education. Except, three of these schools were just a complete waste for my to apply to.

School #1: Because my best friend wants to go there and I have so many friends that are already in that school. It’s a fairly well-rounded university. And it’s cheap. Except its art program isn’t quite what I’m looking for.

School #2: Really nice school, with a beautiful, absolutely stunning campus. Lots of green everywhere. Incredibly affordable for students from in the state. The art building is currently being renovated, so it’ll be done by September. Pretty & complete. Except it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere? Just a bit. And probably only 10% Asian.

School #3: Ugh. Don’t even want to talk about it. It’s a conservatory, for the arts anyway. Music, film, visual, drama. Curriculum is intense. My dad wanted me to apply. Because half the professors in the visual arts department are from Yale University School of Art.

Where I really want to go? Pratt.. or Parsons. In the city. SVA is okay, it’s my safe school. Syracuse? Maybe. It’s cold up there. MICA.. Baltimore, why so scary? And I’ll know my MICA decision in mid-February. I’m wasting my life away by filling out competitive scholarship forms. MICA sure does waste a lot of paper.

College, I hate you, stop taking my (parents’) money away.
